MARRIAGE ORIENTATION

The first step for preparing for marriage at St. Thomas Aquinas is to register for and attend as a couple the  Marriage Orientation Class.

Whether you plan to marry at St. Thomas or some other Church, registering for and attending, as a couple, the Marriage Orientation Class is the essential first step in marriage preparation here at St. Thomas Aquinas.

At this meeting, you will:

• Receive an introduction to a Catholic vision of marriage
• Find out the details of preparing for marriage at St. Thomas Aquinas
• Receive information about how to schedule your first meeting with a priest or deacon at St. Thomas Aquinas, which is when dates are set for weddings if you are marrying at St. Thomas Aquinas.  The parish will not set a date for the wedding until the first meeting with the clergy.

You must attend, as a couple, a Marriage Orientation Class first to be able schedule your First Meeting and all classes.  NOTHING should be done before attending the Marriage Orientation Class except obtaining a recently-issued hard copy of your baptismal certificate with notations.
