PRO-LIFE ORGANIZATION

The Pro-Life Group’s mission is to witness, for the St Thomas Aquinas community, to the love of Christ, neighbor and teaching of the Church that all life is sacred. Beginning at conception with care for the mother and baby and following through caring and loving the elderly through natural death.

• Catechism of the Catholic Church states: “Since the first century the Church has affirmed the moral evil of every procured abortion. This teaching has not changed and remains unchangeable. Direct abortion, that is to say, abortion willed either as an end or a means, is gravely contrary to the moral law” (No. 2271).
• Pope Benedict XVI writes in Caritas in Veritate that “The Church forcefully maintains this link between life ethics and social ethics, fully aware that a society lacks solid foundations when, on the one hand, it asserts values such as the dignity of the person, justice and peace, but then, on the other hand, radically acts to the contrary by allowing or tolerating a variety of ways in which human life is devalued and violated, especially where it is weak or marginalized.” (no. 15).
• As a gift from God, every human life is sacred from conception to natural death. The life and dignity of every person must be respected and protected at every stage and in every condition. The right to life is the first and most fundamental principle of human rights that leads Catholics to actively work for a world of greater respect for human life and greater commitment to justice and peace. How you can add your support.

The Pro-Life Warriors meet the second Monday of each month in the St Joseph Room at 7 PM. Please join us to find out about all things pro-life in the parish and in the diocese.

We offer an opportunity for adoration in the chapel at Birth Choice the first Friday of each month. The Blessed Sacrament of Jesus is exposed from 10 am on Friday until 9 am on Saturday. We are praying for the closing and end of abortion at the Southwestern Woman’s Surgery Center.
